TASP 2015

@meaa7130‌ should be early March

About 2-3 more weeks!

based on past tasp threads here, decisions should be emailed first week of march! 0.o

Is anyone else having trouble getting through to TASP by email? I’ve emailed three of their addresses and gotten nothing back

there’s a week left to march. this is one of the longest months of my life.

I’m starting to get nervous now. You all seem like great people to meet, I really hope a couple of us can get it!

is anyone else experiencing awesome levels of snow? we’ve only had 1 day of school in the last 8 days

I’m in Texas. We’re lucky to get rain.

Hey guys! So I’m a little new to CC, but I am also a hopeful TASP applicant like the rest of you.

And yeah, we got quite a bit of snow in NC, and that’s saying something. We barely get anything above a sprinkle in the best winters.

Also new to CC. And there’s so much snow piled up in CT that tomorrow will be the first Monday I’ve had a full day of school in 2015.

From this winter onwards, snow is officially overrated.

We just keep getting a day or two of snow. Once a week, it falls, accumulates, and then miraculously melts despite never being above freezing. But, tennis season starts in a week, and for the time in at least 2 years, we may start on time without indoor “conditioning” practice.

Wow @leavegoatsalone, your first full day of school this year? Lucky.

I’m heading overseas for two weeks starting tomorrow, but I’ve had barely any breaks so far in 2015.

(In an effort to distract everyone from the misery of snow and endless waiting)…what books did you guys all list?

The book list was my weakest part to be honest (I chose only like 8-10), but I think a few that stuck out were White Noise by Don DeLillo and The Electronic Disturbance by the Critical Art Ensemble.

Yeah snow is unusually crazy where I live as well! We just had a whole week of school off because of it. And my book list is alright–I wish I added a few more titles though. My favorite ones from the like 8 that I put are Persepolis 1&2 by Marjane Satrapi and Slouching Towards Bethlehem by Joan Didion.

Now that I think of it my book list was super weak

My book list was six books, a few of which I had read in class, and I am an alumnus. Authenticity in your essays, lists, and seminar choices are essential, and your book list is not necessarily expected to be incredibly impressive. It should build a fuller picture of who you are – it probably will whether you mean for it to or not – and help the committee decide whether that person is who they are looking for. A huge portion of this is arbitrary, though, so don’t be too worried. TASP is wonderful, though, and you should all look forward to a beautiful period of exploration and fun.

I’m actually incredibly jealous of all of you experiencing snow right now. I live in So Cal and the heat was kind of ridiculous last week (totally with you on that rain comment @mightve)

Friendly reminder that March 1st is less than a week away…
