@perksof1975 think of a time when your opinion shifted or when someone’s actions changed your thinking towards society /the world? maybe a discussion in school where you realized another side of a story…
@perksof1975 if it helps, I started by thinking about times where I changed my mind notably then narrowing down the event that caused the change and writing about that? some areas you may want to consider could be like politics, social institutions, school-related issues, etc.

I literally skipped school to finish my essays. And I was supposed to take a calculus test…

URGENT HELP, I just got to the last page of the application and realized it says my essays have to not have been submitted before for any other purpose. My third essay is heavily edited and expanded version of my essay submitted to TASS last year. Is that ok??
@pielovereternal Seeing that you submitted that essay to TASS…it might be safer to try to write a new one, if you have time.
Also, if you submit your essay despite signing the statement and they realize that you’ve reused (ish) it, it could really damage your application/chances.
@hope469 hmm I’m expanding on an essay I used in class for school… do you think that would be okay?
@perksof1975 The official text of the certification statement is “I certify that I have answered the questions accurately and to the best of my ability, that the writing is my own, and that none of my essays have been previously submitted for another purpose.” So theoretically, no…but then again, they (probably?) wouldn’t be able to tell if it’s a class essay.
Do you all know if writing my specific ethnicity (Chinese) will affect anything?
