I’d be up for swapping essays in a google drive or personally too! My essay #2 is pretty weird though haha so like… be ready. I’m honestly nervous to reread mine because they were barely proofread.
Also I liked all of the seminar ideas! I ranked them as Michigan II, Cornell I, Michigan II, and Cornell II. I really liked the ideas of all of them but I wasn’t much of a fan of the focus on Chene Street for M II and I just don’t think I’m as much of a creative writer as C II is geared towards. I feel like I sounded fake in my rankings bc I liked all of them, haha.
This is random, but did anyone else realize they completely forgot to add a book/piece of media to their list? I’m kicking myself because I forgot one of my favorite books and like I know it isn’t a big deal at all but h o w could I forget about it?
i just made an account seeing how wonderful you all were! Excited and hopeful to see you guys!
I picked Cornell II, Cornell I, Michigan II, Michigan I. I’m an English nerd lol. The Cornell ones just sounded too cool.
@divastar6 I did that too! But also my book list was a little tragic, I put a lot of children’s fiction in it just because I’m really into it but now I kinda feel it comes off the wrong way.
@smashinginkpots I honestly tried to make my reading list sound not pretentious but all I have time to read are classics or like poetry books so i consciously included my favorite book from when I was a kid and two rom coms and now I’m worried I tried too hard to have variety, haha.
I’m sure it’s fine and we’re both a bit worried about nothing and that they’ll understand your new appreciation for children’s fiction.
Someone swap with me please:) I felt like I answered essay #1 a bit too implicitly. Essay #3 is very personal and essay #2 was just plain fun honestly. I have my stuff on a google drive. I’m rather curious to see how others tackled the second essay, since I personally felt that it was the most broad of them all. It was actually my favorite one to write!
@erstwhile I wouldn’t mind swapping essays, especially my second one. I have mine on a google drive too, only I’m worried about anonymity. Suggestions?
I turned in my essays with one of them more than 1500 words and am so nervous whether the extra words will be automatically deleted… I wonder if anybody knows what will happen to the extra words…
Yes I submitted it online… Actually I’m pretty sure that my essays are under 1500 words/ 9000 characters but before I submitted them there was a new page saying that my words/characters were beyond the limit. But I ignored it and submitted the application…
@YourFavoriteEnemy same situation!!! i wrote half of essay #2 in the weeks before, and finished 2, and started and finished 1 and 3 in four hours. lol i keep telling myself i’m not going to procrastinate on college apps but if i procrastinated on this (which i’ve known about months in advance) i can definitely see that happening…
