and what do they mean by "POKE HER!"

Random, pointless facebook feature. My friends and I basically just keep poking each other.. no purpose to it, really. But you just have an urge to click on the poking link.

1/3 of the UT Austin TASP is on this forum.
crazy.

Holy Crap...looking at the TASP blog/pictures from UMich '05 (while I should be studying for IB biology) gets me so freakin' excited. I can't wait.

^ Link me?

dude I know. I can't stop looking...it's like finally done with this album, on to the next one. I just can't focus on my APs, they just seem so insignificant...

BTW....has anyone gotten their official letter yet?

I did just now!

And.. can anyone provide a link for the previous TASP blogs? I'm done APs, so I have plenty of time to waste. :]

I got my letter today as well.
and here's the photobucket account from last year's UMich TASPers-
http://s8.photobucket.com/albums/a20/taspum05/?start=0

just google TASP Umich 05 it should be there.

I haven't gotten mine yet. Maybe it's because I'm in Alabama. Hopefully they didn't change their mind.
BTW...sorry to sound stupid but we weren't supposed to reply to the email were we? B/c it said to let them know as soon as possible whether you would be attending.

I'm not really sure how they want you to notify them. The letter also says "please let us know as soon as possible of your acceptance of this offer," but then it goes on to say that if you decide not to attend they need to know by such and such date. so i'm kind of confused...

what's in the letter/package?

i think either way they just want you to RSVP. maybe call the telluride office and tell them directly?

oh. i just replied to the email, saying i'll be attending.

the letter just said congrats, that we'll be getting medical forms and should schedule a checkup, and that our 'factotas' will be contacting us soon ( with all the interesting stuff, it seems).

do you guys know if we need another medical even if we have already gotten one this year?

Hm, I would get one.. just in case? Or maybe you could email TASP and ask. I've found tons of people from Cornell II, but nobody else from my seminar (Cornell I: Foreign Policy). The two groups are going to be unified in basically everything but the seminars. Medieval romantics and politicians.. such an interesting combo!

I was wondering what TASP would mean in our college applications. If we are one of only 86 students chosen around the nation shouldn't we be able to get into any college? A school like Harvard seeks more than 1000 applicants every year, what are the chances that we are not in the 1000? Also since there are many prestigious schools, couldn't it be assumed that we would be able to get into at least one of them? I know TASPers get rejected from many schools and that not everyone applies to TASP, but 86 is less than 10% of what one school recruits. Anyways, that's my 2 cents.
