TASP Invite & PSAT Scores!!!!

i got an email from tasp (telluride association summer program) because, according to the email, i am “one of the top PSAT scorers in my area” i dont know my psat scores but is this email indicative of a score in the 99th percentile?People from previous threads have suggested so, but is there any concrete evidence to believe so?

pre-class of 2017 :Have you gotten an email from them and if so what was your psat score and state percentile?

class of 2017:Have you gotten an email from them? Is it reasonable to believe that your PSAT scored in the 99th percentile based on practice tests that you’ve taken?

I’m class of 2017. I did get a email from TASP but it was sent rather strangely. I can’t read the email but I can preview it. Does it start off with
Dear name goes here, You are cordially invited to apply to the Telluride Association Summer Program (TASP), a free educational opportunity for high school juniors that prepares students for a life of servi

Edit: I figured out how to view it :D. Yeah I got it from PSAT and I’m rather surprised… I might’ve gotten 800 for math but I’m not so certain for english.

Edit again: Wait I just viewed the other TASP post. Is it really from last year’s PSAT scores?

@thkim1011 I really have no idea because there is so much speculation, but Tasp and college board both say that they are using last years scores.

I would not be surprised if they’re using last year’s scores; I got the email and a 227 sophomore year, but the junior year PSAT felt like it went /terribly/ for me – I didn’t prep for the new format and I was sick.

I also got one of these e-mails, but I remember doing pretty poorly on my sophomore year PSAT. Maybe they are using this years scores?

I wouldn’t dwell on it. Getting the email makes no difference in whether you get accepted. Anyone can apply.

For those in the future reviewing this thread - I ended up getting commended national merit but my score was in the 99th percentile nationally. Hope that helps!

I would say don’t apply to those programs who spam people base on PSAT scores… I have a filter on in my mailbox that sends everything that is related to College Board Student Search Service to spam :stuck_out_tongue:
