Yeah, your life is utterly meaningless pigs! Hah.

We came to know about TASP a short while ago! My child worked as a teacher’s aid in a summer program at her school district & made some money.
She got deferred & now feels that she should have done summer camp instead of working. …

i’m the OP, and today, one year and seventeen days after my tasp rejection, i got into yale!! don’t lose hope!

^Good for you.

I was rejected from TASP outright, which I still think of as the only real rejection I’ve hever had, though I was also rejected by RSI and MITES that spring, and have sometimes not gotten jobs for which I applied. Today, or rather, yesterday, considering the time, I was waitlisted at Yale. Accepted by every other school to which I applied. (I was pooled then accepted at Cambridge, but that’s a long story.)

The main person I know who went to TASP was rejected by Yale and waitlisted by Harvard, which she now attends.

I’m about to apply to the program and this question is really good. Seems the asker ended up getting into Yale. So in conclusion being rejected doesn’t matter at all if only you find your summer, even every second of your life worth it after all. :D

I was a TASP reject and I got into Yale SCEA this year.
Don’t worry!! You’ll be fine :)

I got rejected from TASP after the interview round as well as deferred SCEA and ultimately rejected from Yale. Whatever, go Duke!!! ;)

I’m a TASPer, didn’t apply to Yale thru SCEA this year but through Questbridge. However, my essays for QB were pretty… crappy so I’m sure I’m not going to get in. There it goes for you!
(Most of my fellow TASPers, however, ended up getting SCEA-d to Yale and Harvard for those who chose to early to those schools.)

I mostly lurk on CC threads but I feel that it’s important for (especially) current sophomores/juniors who are in the process of applying to selective summer programs. I am a proud rejectee from TASP, RSI, and SSP.

Exactly one month ago from right now, I was accepted SCEA into Yale. Looking at these selective summer programs, they often have lower acceptance rates than HYP! So don’t worry too much if you get rejected :)

TASPer turned into wanderer.
Good to see this thread is up.
