Hi there!
So… I’m a sophomore at an online/virtual academy. I recently saw and read about this program, and it really interested me. I am hoping to major in social work and/or the study of society, related to youth, and it seems that this program could be very interesting for me to attend. However, as I kept reading about it, I also saw that it is quite competitive.
I realize that to apply well, I must apply from the heart. Besides, I do stuff for myself, not for the audience or the judges.
However, I would like to know my chances based on some of my basic stats.
I have a 4.0 GPA unweighted, 4.2 unweighted. I take all honors, and one ap (this year anyway). I am aiming to take my PSAT this year, and we’ll see about the results of that.
I am really passionate about equality and justice. I have struggled with discrimination as a bisexual, and I know what it feels like to be that way.
I volunteer at a youth homeless shelter, and work as a music teacher.
I would like to receive any tips for application and just bettering myself as an applicant, alums and not.
Thank you so much!
