TASS 2019

@SunnyBee123 Yes, I applied to the TASS program. I just want the results to be out already. The wait is killing me

I’m glad I’m not the only one! How were your interviews?

Coming out of the interview, I felt good about it. There were a couple things I wish I did differently but I think the interviewer was engaged with what I said. How about you?

@lmo2021 Yea, same; they seemed very interested in the conversation and agreed with many of my points as well. I felt really confident actually. I kind of BS-ed more answers than I’d like to admit, and so I’m not as confident now. :frowning:

@SunnyBee123 I’m sure you’ll do great. I’m nervous as well and I’m sure everyone else is too. I just want the results to come out already!

In also waiting for the TASS results and I’m incredibly nervous. My interview was good but I really don’t think I impressed her… hope I’m wrong.
BTW I’m from Rhode Island in the US

@Ghanaangel my family keeps asking and like I know they’ll be really disappointed so I really regret telling them about it… because that way if I don’t make it only I know, and if I do, they would know that I’m already in. I’m from NYC, US by the way.

How many people were selected for interview?

I think approximately 112 were interviewed and there are 56 places so it’s really just 50/50 at this point

I applied and got into TASS last year, ours came out on the 24th last year. Lol they really making y’all wait this year ?

Yea… it’s gotten quite nerve racking

Does anyone know when decisions will come out? Late April is so vague, and I really want to know. I feel like the interview went really well and I submitted some great writing, but you never know with such a competitive process.

Earlier on this thread, @lmo2021 mentioned that the TASP reveals come tomorrow actually, so ours should come sometime Tuesday?

@SunnyBee123 Fingers crossed. I’m so nervous!

The results should probably be out anywhere between April 29th and 3rd May, because we need time to apply for visas/flights/transportation and there has to be a confirmation period after which the list should be finalised?

Results are out, didn’t make it :frowning:

@hopefully21 This genuinely made me feel really sad… I got in and I’m really looking forward to it. I’m so sorry that I couldn’t share that with you. On the upside, hopefully you are in the waiting list in the event that someone declines, leaving a spot open for you.

I got in!! I never thought I’d get in but now that I look over it, my application was genuine and one of my best works. I’m really sad that I we all can’t share this experience, but I like to believe that when one door closes another one opens. Trust your own process because maybe if you went you would have missed out on something special to you personally. Cheers to you all, from Rhode Island!

@Ghanaangel which are your seminars? Mine take place at Cornell, Black Feminist Thought.
