did your daughter only come home for the concert? I ask because there is a music festival in my hometown which I have gone to for the last five years, and I hate the idea of missing it. Tickets are really expensive now and will be even more expensive if I wait. However I don't want to buy them if I have no chance of being able to fly home for at least one day. (Its sept 26th-28th) What are the rules for getting a pass to fly home in your first year at the Academy?

I have a tattoo, but it's not visible in uniform. I think they're badass if they're tasteful, and I like mine because you wouldn't know I had one unless I intentionally showed you. Just be smart about it. Like fencersmother said, I almost got a Jesus fish tattooed on the bottom of my foot, because that's another place that you're not likely to regret a tattoo.

As far as piercings go, they aren't allowed for men in uniform, and women can only have one piercing on each ear in uniform. No noses, tongues, etc. Belly buttons are fine. I have my cartiledge pierced, and you're just supposed to take out the earring when you put on your uniform. Which will be all the time when you're a 4 degree, so it might be kind of pointless anyways until after Recognition. ;)

PETKO, I hope you move into 10. Somehow a day won't go by that I won't be laughing if you are. :) Even better, both you and redhead move in and I will watch the ultimate showdown of ultimate destiny! :)

I might add that one of our graduating seniors is one of the backstair studio dudes. A rising firstie is the BCT commander. And other fun peeps here. All right!
