I’m enrolled in a 0.5 unit course that has nothing to do with transfer, IGETC, pre-req, etc. It’s just something I’m supposed to take because I’m a tutor on campus. I have to talk to the teacher, but I might not have to take it at all. If I don’t have to take it, I won’t because it’s online and just a hassle. I’m curious that if I end up dropping the course completely, it will affect my application since it will say “planned” on it. (Or, if it gets figured out before January 31st I can go back in and change it again?)
If it gets dropped before Jan 31, update it.
If you drop it after, you have to email the UC system and update it that way.

As long as it is in planned or in-progress mode you can edit through sometime in March. The only thing is the UCs might not see it if you do it too late. But I think that would affect you mainly if it lowered your minimum units. It sounds like it’s not even transferable. And it’s .5 units.
