Tax Accounting vs. Auditing

Q1. What are some of the pros and cons of tax accounting and auditing? Those of you out there in these fields, can you tell me some things about what you like/dislike about what you do, and some differences between these specialties, such as pay/schedule/hours?

Q2. Is it possible to work as an auditor and then later switch to tax accounting?

Q3. Does an MSA from Boston College allow me to go in either direction? I was told by a faculty member there that BC's MSA program mainly produces auditors, however, I get a tuition discount there so I would like to go there, but I had been leaning towards tax accounting...

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone? :)

Can someone basically tell me what the very very basic differences between these two are?

Is the tax accountant filling out tax returns and the auditor is verifying the authenticity of financial statements?
