I just found out that I am fashionably late in submitting my iDOC tax information to two of my colleges. Since these two did not list iDOC tax returns on their application "checklist", I had no idea these existed.

However, what about the other colleges? Does every college require tax information, even if they're not in the form of iDOC? Did you submit tax information for every college? and How?

NOTE: I am applying as a international student, so I'm not using FAFSA.

First, when you submitted your CSS Profile you were sent information about schools requiring IDOC and their deadline dates.

As for other colleges, they will have their own requirements. Some may require tax information, others not. If your FAFSA is selected for verification you may be required to submit it, too. If a college does require that information it would be up to you to determine how they want it submitted. That information may be on their website, but if you can’t find it there, you could pick up the phone and call the FA office at each school.

Remember, you are asking them for aid. You have to take responsibility for your end of the process.
