Tax returns

For schools that want my parents 2004 tax returns (i.e. Boston College) am I supposed to just photocopy the entire tax return packet and mail it to them. Or, do schools just want certain pages?

The filing, whole filing, nothing but the filing, plus W-2's. You do not need nor do they want any of the supporting documents that many tax preps and programs also give you. Follow the instructions, "tax returns." If they want something more of less, they will mention it or contact you.

OK....

How do I know how much of the huge packet is the "tax return" section.

Does it end at question 75. After that question the packet starts back at 1 and the title is "Schedule B - interest and ordinary dividends"

Send in everything. Tax forms, schedules, and the like.
