I love the song “Exile” with Bon Iver from Folklore-also the Long Pond Studio Sessions version.
I love that song; so moving. Haven’t heard that version before; it’s wonderful.
I love the fairly new duet with The National , “The Alcott.” Kind of mesmerizing, haunting. The official video is on YouTube.
Also really love "All too Well. "
For you fans, Taylor doesn’t appear to be home currently but it’s a beautiful day in RI. That is her “humble” home😀
Sort of looks accessible??
A 54 year old woman just got arrested for trespassing there last week.
This is Taylor Swift weekend in Denver. The news showed people waiting in line at the stadium at 6:30 am on Thursday and I thought the show was Thursday night. Nope - they were in line to buy merchandise! That didn’t even open until 10 am! Of course it was a hot day and people were passing out in line. First show last night, second tonight. Expected to bring $140Million into the metro economy this weekend.
So that everyone can enjoy the traffic nightmare, the Yankees are playing the Rockies (so sold out) and Cirque du sol is in the tent outside Ball Arena. The stadium, arena, and ball park are all downtown, all on the same light rail lines. Light rail is free for July and August so that helps.
I’m staying home. My nephew had tickets (his GF is a big Swifty) but he sold his to pay for 2 trips to Europe for weddings this fall. I had lunch with a friend yesterday who couldn’t get tickets for Denver so got them for LA. She said she could get $3000 per ticket but doesn’t want to disappoint her granddaughters! I’m like "Send them to college for that $18000 (EIGHTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!)
Pretty near impossible to get to her home but adjacent to her property is a public access path to the beach. Several times they have caught people trying to go over that fence.
All of the actual beach is public so in the off season we have met her security on several occasions. You can tell when she is there because the chimneys show smoke.
Our closest )and only) direct encounter was last October taking the dog off the leash and having her circle Taylor and friends beach brunch. They all seemed very nice and we’re shockingly young looking.
Oh cool; I guess that’s the “Last Great American Dynasty” house. One of my favorite songs of hers. I like when she branches out to storytelling about others; hope she does it more.
Ever so often there are Taylor Swift sightings here in Cape May County because she grew up in PA and so spent lots of vacations at the Jersey Shore (like so much of Pennsylvania does!) Sometimes shows up in videos of hers.
Lol this made me lol (for real) because all I could think of when you mentioned the smoke from the chimney is the smoke from the chimney when they are naming a new pope!
She could probably ticket outsell the pope!!
I’m guessing that “No body, No Crime” was a story about others.
Yes! And also a favorite of mine!
Her family vacationed in Stone Harbor and Avalon. We know folks who knew here there back when.
Two Taylor Swift concerts this weekend in Seattle, but lines started forming today to buy official Taylor Swift concert merchandise.
This is happening at every venue. My kid loves her, but he said not enough to be in a line like that for overpriced merch.
The merch is a whole other thing. My absolutely insane swiftie even said she didn’t get it. The merch isn’t even that great. This was the only area where she didn’t go over the top all in. You can buy most online, and the super special crewneck isn’t really that awesome.
My kids went to the concert. We arrived a day early in their designated city. Since we arrived a day early we told them we would go wait in line for the merch as they were not interested in doing it at the concert. They wanted the crew that can not be bought online. The line looked crazy but we waited. Line,In and out in 20 minutes. They were extremely efficient. They really know what they are doing.
It turns out my daughter did go to the show in Denver last weekend. I thought she said she didn’t get tickets, but her friend did and she also could have had them through someone at work. So she and her friend went dressed in very sparkley dresses. She said she paid $60 for the ticket and $200 for shirts (one for her sister, one for a friend who couldn’t get one when she went to the show in another city, and one for herself)
My nephew’s fiancee and her entire family (mother, father, 3 sisters, assorted husbands and boyfriends) went on Friday night. They liked it so much on Saturday night they went to the stadium just to tailgate. She’s a true Swifty.
