<p>Do they offer an opportunity to have the TB test at bama bound as well as the shots or does it need to be done on our own time?</p>
<p>Some of the shots (like meningitis) are available at the SHC at Bama.</p>
<p>However, since the TB test is done over a few days, it really can’t be done at Bama. You have to get the injection, then return about 48-72 hours later to have the injected area “read”. The Healthcare professional then indicates what the “read” is and signs. </p>
<p>We did have the injection done at the doctor’s office and then when son went to Bama a couple of days later, he had the SHC “read” and record the results, but I wouldn’t recommend doing that. The nurse was hesitant about doing it that way.</p>
