TBA professors

Some classes dont have professors yet, like math 122 for example. I signed up for a random time but i really want to know who is teaching it. When do they release that?

Sometimes they don’t tell you until you actually show up to the class. Other times it happens over the summer in July and August. Even then, teachers can change over the summer. My Stat 110 class professor changed from June to August.

I dislike it when they do this, but it can completely be hit and miss. I had a 4.9 rated speech professor that was dropped a day before the class for someone who I didn’t really care for. But my favorite professor at Carolina so far was a TBA professor!

Usually TBA means that you will have a PHD or Grad student teaching your class, and they just haven’t been able to hammer out their schedules yet.

DD just had a class go from TBA to a professor. She didn’t like his ratings on ratemyprofessor so she switched sections.

So you just have to check often, I guess.
