Judging by the photos, it looks like the former location of Strip Teas & Coffee is now one of TCBY’s new store designs. Basically, it’s a ripoff of just about every frozen yogurt store out there. I’m pretty sure I’ll prefer TCBY to Strip Teas; while I was, admittedly, a huge fan of their “Red Eye” (3 shots of expresso in a large coffee cup, the rest filled w/ black coffee) I can get pretty good coffee elsewhere, or my dorm, for that matter.

I fully expect Yogurt Mountain to take a pretty big hit from TCBY’s opening- both chains have similar products, similar prices, and TCBY has a far better location (albeit one with astronomical rent).

I still prefer Coldstone…once you dress up your cup with all those toppings, there isn’t much difference health-wise between frozen yogurt and ice cream. ;)

I was there this week moving D into apt. While visiting the Supe Store they came in with prepacked samples which may be what they are selling on the strip. Still they made quite a few patrons and employees happy at the Sup!!

just went to tcby at 10:30 pm tonight. hours are 6:30a to MIDNGHT. cost 45 cents/oz – currently has opening special that if your item is at least $3, they will take a dollar off. Was planning to go to Coldstone, but since Coldstone was closed and TCBY was open, TCBy got our business instead.

Peachtide - I want a Panda Express in Ttown SOOOO BADLY! It’s so hard to go an entire semester without their orange chicken.
Sounds like TCBY costs the same amount as YOMO per oz.

There should be a Panda Express on campus…like in the new Lloyds mini food court. Seems like a good place to put one.

I wonder if you contact the powers that be at Bama Dining - like Brent Davidson, Director of Retail Operations - to see if one can be put on campus. davidson-brent@aramark.com

Is Panda Express really any better than local, family-owned Chinese restaurants in town, like Swen, Pearl Garden, or China Garden in University Mall? :)

My son, his girlfriend and his younger brother went to TCBY last week. Very nice. A lot like Yogurt Mountain inside. But he is bumming over Qdoba. That was a weekly dining place.
