So I’m thinking of applying to TCNJ. my sat’s aren’t too great (1530 overall, CR:500, M:440, W:590) but i have a 3.7 gpa and have taken all honors/ap classes and have decent ec’s. I know tcnj is ranked highly for their academics and are very selective, but I haven’t heard much about their art program. Specifically lens-based arts and graphic design. Can you give me information on it, like how good it is compared to other majors, etc? Also if anyone has attended the school and has been in this program could you give me your opinion/if you think it’s worth it? Thanks! (my second option for a major is english/journalism btw so any info on that would be great too)
I am in the same boat with my daughter…lower GPA. Anyone out there? I would be interested in understanding if for the program you are first accepted to the school and then the program or is it a dual acceptance? She is an unbelievable artist with an excellent portfolio .
Kkmmom, same here. Exactly same issue. Daughter wants to go into art as well. B student and 1400 SAT
my understanding is, acceptance is based on your declared major and art is heavily based on quality of portfolio
