@jerseykid96 I am so sorry to hear! Did your portal change out did you get a letter? We are still waiting

Still anxiously waiting too. So sorry @jerseykid96 good luck with your college choice!

It was a thin letter and as soon as my mom told me that it was I knew it was over. Just rejected from Brandeis too…. College sucks.

OMGosh @jerseykid96 I’m so sorry!! Please don’t let this bring you down! I’m sure it will all work out for you! Keep your chin up and be positive!! What other schools are your options? I’m sure you have other great options!

nah I got rejected from my top four schools right now I’m waiting on cuse and lafayette…. and my only real option is binghamton but I’m out of state and they didn’t give much money

@jerseykid96 hang in there! I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you hear good news from cuse & Lafayette!! I’m routing for ya!!

I was deferred and I still haven’t heard yet. My hopes aren’t up and I’m just waiting for a second skinny white envelope in the mail.

Yes we haven’t heard yet either except that they asked us if D would like to consider another major, so prob will be rejected but would like to know at this point. Its the last college and D wants to make a decision.

I was deferred and still haven’t heard back either:/ does anyone know when they will send out this round of decisions? I’m so anxious

I am absolutely shocked but D received an acceptance letter to nursing today! she got the unlikely letter and it asked her to change her major so we expected of rejection.

Congratulations!!! @cakeisgreat
That is awesome!!! I’m so happy for you and your D! Finally some good news!
I’m bracing myself and betting my D will be rejected or wait listed. She also received the unlikely letter and asked to change majors. We have already started to move on…but an acceptance could change things!! Stalking the mailman on Monday!! Lol!!

@Mommabear123 yes we were excited but it actually threw a wrench in the whole equation bcz D moved on like your D. Now we’re confused bcz tcnj is so much more affordable and excellent for nursing but she loves loves loves the other school. Ugh…what to do?

Has anyone’s PAWS account updated, but received no letter yet??

No mine is still the same. I really hope my letter comes tomorrow

@cakeisgreat Good luck with your decision. I’m sure your D will make the right choice! We still haven’t heard anything, but not worried at this point! D found out that 2 classmates got accepted (one playing soccer and the other baseball) who are not the brightest! No honors or AP courses and didn’t have the grades or community service to be selected for NHS. They are not even in the top 20% of her class! So, she has completely lost interest in this so called “highly selective” college!!

@Mommabear123 Thanks for your wonderfully kind words! it is very interesting about the acceptance rate of the two people you mentioned from your school. I think if we were only looking at all New Jersey schools this would be the school she would have picked bcz of size and nursing program… and 2 weeks ago it was really a 50/50 decision only because. the cost is affordable for TCNJ however that unlikely letter thing kind of made us dismiss it so 99% it will be the other school. it’s hard to mentally change when you’ve moved on. I’m so glad that your D is very happy with her choices too!

sorry for the typos it is so extremely hard to edit cc posts when you’re on a phone!

I applied ED and was deferred. I didn’t get a letter today, so I called TCNJ and they said that I’ll get it by Thursday… don’t you just love waiting? -.-

Was accepted in mid February as a Spanish Language Education Major. I do have a friend who is still awaiting her decision and she is very smart. She went to an excellent high school and takes very high level courses. Not hearing yet does not mean you are not qualified! Good luck to everyone awaiting a decision! I am sure you will hear soon, hopefully with good news!

@cakeisgreat I was right. D received letter today to be wait listed. Not accepting wait list since she has already moved on since the other letter. Good luck to your D!! My D will be going to UDel!! :)

I’m honestly disappointed in TCNJ! It seems that they are more concerned about their athletes! The ones I know who were just accepted for sports (soccer/baseball) didn’t even take any AP coures and took the easy way out their senior year! So much for academics! I know first hand the courses this baseball player took his junior & senior year and his lack of grades, community service, or any leadership skills! (Medicore SAT scores to boot) What a joke!
Glad my D was wait listed and moved on! This is not a college I’d want her to attend knowing what I know!
