My Son is all set for URSINUS...nice aid package...brings it close to NJ public University costs.
He just cleared the WL at TCNJ! Any thoughts on either?

TCNJ or Ursinus. Congrats on your acceptance. Geez - I really don’t think you can compare the two…TCNJ is better in almost all areas…academic criteria for admission, grad. school placement, campus, value and retention. I know that Ursinus is a good school ( i got in there too) but really there is no comparison.

Honestlee- thank you for your opinion. Every one of your posts are so positive about TCNJ…and I am thrilled that your experience has been so terrific. I am not sure you think there are any negatives…at all.

The only negative I could see is the high instate population , 94% , and the risk of being a suitcase school , with kids going home on the weekend.
My friend’s daughter is finishing her freshman year and said that is NOT the case.
I am sure a current student can chime in on this.

Don’t know anything about Ursinus , but TCNJ looks great!

I think TCNJ is a very impressive school. It is really personal in a good way. I love how they really make an effort to bring the freshman together. I don’t know too much about Ursinus, but if my son hadn’t gotten into his dream school, TCNJ was definitely where he would have gone.

Did he only apply to schools with stupid names?

it should elucidate things…

My daughter just finished her first year at Ursinus - she loved it. Does your son have a preference on size or location? Ursinus is smaller than TCNJ and is set in a town, so kids who don’t have cars can walk down the street to Wawa or the Philly Soft Pretzel Factory.

TCNJ is a great school, too - your son can’t go wrong either way!

@ Harry Balzak:
LOL at your “question,” after I saw your username!!
