For the benefit of those who applied to TCNJ, can any of you who have already had this interview describe what to expect for it?

I commented on your Rutgers-UMDNJ thread...if you need more, I would be happy to supply.

Of course I would love to hear more info., specifically about the TCNJ phone interview. What kind of questions should I expect and is it the same process and of the same importance as that of Rutgers?

I live in New Jersey so I had an on-campus interview with Dr. Shevlin (Biology Department). There was nothng unusual about the interview; it was of an informal nature - the usual type questions. He is very laid back and low key so not to worry. I understand that the most important interview is at UMDNJ where you will more likely be grilled!

Thanks for your advice. By the way, I am being interviewed by someone else but I guess it will be similar to your interview. How long did it last? I was informed that my interview would take from half an hour to an hour.

Anyone else with advice. My interview is tomorrow.

don't worry about it. Its pretty laid back.

Probably 20 to 30 minutes long.
One more thing: Can you apply to the 7 year program as you are out of state? I know you don't have to be from NJ for the 8 year program, but I think you need to be a state resident for the 7 year program (at least with Rutgers-UMDNJ) Check it out. I know they are pretty slack and won't tell you until after the second round of interviews...so better find out and not waste time if it is so.

Hmm, I think i remember an old thread that said you could be out of state. Actually, yes, I believe that I heard one of the reps say that they accept out of state (at TCNJ I believe)

thanks for all the info. and advice you posted. My interview went perfectly.
