My daughter got her in state acceptance with no mention of merit. I called the admissions department to ask if she would be notified later (Stockton sent her award letter the following week) and was told no, merit awards are sent with acceptances. TCNJ is the only school she applied to that did not give her $$. Disappointed as $$ will make a difference.

Hi everyone my S was accepted into TCNJ. His acceptance letter came in February. His scholarship letter came last Friday (3/1/13). I had called the school bc we were worried he was not going to get merit money since it didn’t come in the acceptance letter. They informed me at the time that he was still be considered for merit scholarships. He recv’d $48,000 over 4 years “Chairman of the Board” scholarship. We are in-state.

emeltr did you ask the Admissions Department to check if your daughter was still being considered for merit money? As I mentioned above, I called them and they did tell me my son was still being considered. He applied in November but did not go ED. He wanted to leave his options open. His scholarship letter as well as notification inviting him to the Honors Program came on Friday. His official letter inviting him into the Honors Program arrived yesterday.

Did anyone who received the second review letter hear back yet? :)

@emeltr - same here. In state, accepted, and was the only school that did not offer merit award.

I know that many people who applied regular decision have heard back already, but I haven’t yet. I haven’t received a second review letter either. Does anyone know what this means? I’m guessing I should be hearing back from them one of these days…?

Has anyone heard about the 7 year TCNJ/UMDNJ results for 2013 from TCNJ?

anyone have a reply recently? i’m really worried because i didn’t change my major after they urged me to. :/

@mich22: it surpirses me that many people applied regular decision already heard acceptance decision along with package offered. My daughter still heard nothing from TCNJ; however my D received an email that she is then second review processing step.

@collegedreams29: After that email, TCNJ sent another email to ask my D to change major, and she agrees. But she still not hears no decision.
Overall, I could not imagine what is a different in these processing steps…? Does it mean she is at the edge /borderline of her stats???/

Anyone recieve admission letters for the tcnj/umdnj program so far?

@2collegesplus1: May I ask what his major is and what his GPA/SAT, etc. looked like? Sounds like a wonderful scholarship!

Dear csmith22: My S’s major is Business with the hopes of attending Top Law School upon graduation so the scholarship is very helpful. His SAT was 2280, ACT 35, GPA is 4.5, NHRP Scholar, as well as NM Finalist. He’s in the top 5% of his school. Four year Varsity Wrestler, as well as Captain, four year member of Track Team (2 year Varsity), lots of clubs, SGA, attended Boys State and lots of Academic Awards. Total of 10 AP Classes. He’s very excited and was extremely happy with the Scholarship. He also received full tuition at Fordham and Northeastern and very generous scholarship from American, but TCNJ was his first choice. I don’t know if your child is considering TCNJ but best of luck to you.
