Thanks for the info CM26 and Dlo1006. So basically this "priority housing" is considered a perk because housing isn't guaranteed for all 4 years, right? And as long as my daughter complies with all the housing rules, she will be eligible for on campus housing all 4 years. Nice to know.

If your daughter is OOS, of course she will get priority housing. It only makes sense as it would be less of a burden for NJ residents to deal with not having housing.

Hi, I just discovered this AWESOME thread started by you, tcnj08, and just in the nick of time! I'm at school, though, so I'll ask my questions when I get home. Just wanted to post so that you would see someone else (me) has questions and would stick around hopefully because I have to decide very soon, today hopefully!

Thanks.

I actually wrote my questions on paper... hope you don't mind!

I'll answer but I don't want to take the time to go through parsing through that handwriting and scrolling horizontally through the image. Sorry. Not to be rude; just letting you know.

This thread is done. I may step in a couple of weeks from now to answer questions but don't count on it. You're all pretty much set, anyway, right?

Good luck to the incoming class.

Also, if you look on the Princeton Reviews website TCNJ is listed among the 222 best Northeastern Colleges and is ranked 7th for Happiest students and 20th for Most Beautiful Campus.

I read it was in the top 75 in the whole nation in the Barrons listing of colleges.

TCNJ08, i still have to read past page 3, but i was wondering how the food options are for someone who eats really healthy? The last few years i've eaten basically only healthy foods, is there usually access to a lot of vegetables, chicken, eggs, steak, oatmeal, etc...? When i was at Harvard for the summer they had a grill which was good, unfortunately just the same 3 or so things can get really boring after awhile since it got pretty bland.

Thanks a lot

Hey i was wondering how are the job opportunities like after u graduate.? and wat are my chances of getting into a top business grad school? and are internships offered? Also how is the business school here?

Keep in mind I’m not a business major. Especially now, getting a great job in business after graduating from almost anywhere probably isn’t too great. Regarding grad school, as long as you maintain a high GPA and do well on the GMAT, you’ll have a decent chance at getting into a top business program. Not sure about internships. I don’t think the business school is TCNJ’s strongest point. Everyone on my floor who’s a business major seems to never have any work to do.

I am interested in becoming a doctor and im considering going to TCNJ. im a junior in Highschool. How is the pre medical experience like? if u had any friends that were in pre med, how tough was their experience like? did they still have time for fun, play games and things like that cuz i still want a like when im in college and still get into medical school…

The pre-med experience is what you make of it. If you’re aiming for Harvard, you better be studying all the time/volunteering/getting papers published/sucking up to your professors/triple majoring. However, I think that being accepted to a respectable, but not crazy-prestigious, med school requires good work ethic and a lot of effort, but not so much that you won’t have time to have fun too. I think TCNJ med school acceptance rate is 85% iirc.

My son is considering TCNJ, JHU, UPENN for undergrad, we are considering not having too much debt, what are the chances of a TCNJ grad getting into med school?

~85%, much higher than the national average (which is ~45%). I’m premed and have no concerns about acceptance.

Does anyone happen to know what the chances are of getting housing on campus as a sophomore coming in during the Spring semester? Thanks in advance!

Do you have ann idea of volunteer and internship opportunities for pre meds.
