TCNJ Waitlist 2022 - Deposit @ Another School

I got accepted into Seton Hall University, whih was my safety but after some time I’ve considered it strongly due to how much money it has given be in comparison to other schools I’ve been accepted into. However, TCNJ is still my top school and although I’m on the waitlist and would receive no merit scholarships, I’d still be paying less money than if I went to Seton Hall. I’ve been communicating with an admissions officer and they said that waitlist decisions for TCNJ come out in the middle of may, beginning of June.

However, deposits for Seton Hall are due on May 1st. I’m worried that there might be that chance of not getting into TCNJ, but I still would be willing to go no matter what. Should I still pay the deposits for Seton Hall, which would amount to around $600 ($200 for the initial deposite, and then more for the housing deposite)?

You can pay the deposit for Seton Hall (and you should, as you have been admitted there). Then, if TCNJ comes through, you can accept that and then tell Seton Hall you won’t be attending. You may lose your deposits.

However, realize that last year only 20 people were accepted off the waitlist. (but 285 the year before so who knows)
