TCU BFA MT

The only downside of TCU is that it’s too close to home for DD, but she will apply anyway because of the strengths of the program. Does anyone know what they do as far as industry showcase beyond regional theatre mentioned above and whether the students do summer stock or other opportunities outside DFW? Thanks in advance.

@MTisNutz My D has a friend who graduated from TCU in May. She did all her summer stock in the DFW area. TCU did have a senior showcase at 54 Below if I remember correctly.

Yes, TCU does a showcase and they get decent agent attendance and offers. Some choose to self-submit and remain without an agent and many are equity eligible but choose not to take their card—for both more opportunities and more compensation.

Many Students work summer stock in the DFW area, some go back home and work shows if their local market has strong theatre and a few leave the area for resort summer stock. A1 will be doing pre-screens on campus this Fall and others have attended SETC, Strawhats and MWTA Unifieds.
