@rsm2009 I’m placed in Atlanta too! It was my top choice. Is that what you were hoping for?

@paigeorose92 Yes! It was my first choice! Want to connect and start communicating to build at 2014 Metro Atlanta group?

@rolemodel32 I put it in the second column which is why they probably thought it would be okay. I preferenced HS Chemistry and English and figured they might need more STEM teachers, but I guess you can’t get everything you want. Chicago was my #1 choice which I got so I’m happy with that.

Subject and Location: Secondary Science in Alabama!!

Ssooooo excited! Kinda nervous about science but I’m up for the adventure! congrats everyone!

@andrewcycs When I read your post, I thought we may have interviewed together, too. But, I interviewed at USC…Congrats!

@ulanbaatar That’s awesome! I’m originally from DFW and can’t wait to get back after the semester is over. What age group have you been assigned to?

Am I the only one who can’t sleep because they are so excited? I never thought I would be accepted and receive my top choices for content and location!! Congratulations to all those accepted and I wish everyone the best of luck that didn’t receive the news they were hoping for. You made it this far and I think that shows that you will find success in other places!

Did anyone else get a subject area that they least preferred? I got early childhood education and am just really unsure about what to do now.

@duck59 For the last deadline, someone got assigned a region and subject that was completely outside their choices. When he/she was contacted they told them that it was a mistake and they were able to get the correct placement. This could be a possibility for you. If I was in your shoes, I would wait until someone from my region contacts me and explain the situation to them. They should be able to work with you especially since this is a subject issue and not a regional one. I would think regional issues are much more difficult to resolve than subject ones. If it’s taking to long, see if you can find a contact link on the applicant center so you can reach someone from your region quicker. It doesn’t matter what their position is, but you want to make sure that you are talking to a staff member and not a corps member. This is unusual though. Were your regional choices very restrictive? By that, I mean did you tell them you could only go to one region for a special circumstance (family, spouse)? That could explain the weird subject assignment.

Has anyone tried to log into TFANet and view any of the content on that site? I was able to log in last night, but get an access denied message when I try to view content about onboarding or getting ready for summer institute. I’ve emailed tech, who I feel sorry for the day after a decision day - they must get a ton of questions and requests.

@spedteacher84 I’m having the same problem with TFANet.

@sarabea126 I’ll be teaching secondary science in Alabama too! Congratulations!!

And it actually takes a while to be able to log in to TFAnet or it could’ve been that way for me since I applied 1DL. I just emailed TFA and they were able to grant me access so you guys should definitely try emailing them.

Is TFAnet only available once you accept the offer?

Has anyone else had any trouble accepting their offer? I can’t seem to find the commitment statement.
