@RosesForHer When was your final interview? Verification for all of your documents? Id view it as a good sign! :)

@RosesForHer i think that is a good sign! I am also curious to know when your final interview was

@ldetr14 Thanks! It was on Thursday, so not too long ago at all, especially considering I uploaded my documents Friday the 28th. I just have to turn in all five pages of my SAR. I’m hoping to not get my hopes raised about it though because I noticed some people got rejected and had their TF completed.

Congrats @Rosesforher. Unfortunately, more reason for me to be worried.
Maybe, Ill see some progress tomorrow.

I think people who did their interview last Monday will have their TF statuses change first, then Tuesday, Wednesday and finally Thursday.

Then again, the deadline to apply for TF for 4DL is April 10th, 2014 so I don’t think it says much about your acceptance chances but it is a good signs to see that they have reviewed your documents already.

@littleapple89 My final interview went great for the most part. Everyone liked my sample teaching lesson (it involved skittles!) but it was a little short since I got nervous and spoke too fast. The group activity went great because I helped facilitate conversation, listened to everyone, referred to the articles, and provided well-rounded opinions. The final interview was a little “eh”. My interviewer was super nice, so it felt like the interview was more of a conversation. I should have gotten more of my quantifiable leadership experiences across (which isn’t much outside of the realm of being a teaching assistant) but I really felt like the interviewer liked me. We both had experience working with young children. It’s just a matter if they accept my past leadership as qualifiable.

@cicerocalliope Maybe they’re going in alphabetical order? My last name does start with an A.

@kv4life I hope this is not the case. I interviewed last Monday and turned in TF application before Feb. 21st! Ohh the agony of this wait.

@RosesForHer what are did you interview in?

Maybe, mine’s a W.

@RosesForHer, sounds like your final was awesome! Congrats! Lurking on this thread, I’ve gathered that change in TF status/ verification is usually an early sign of admission. I thought my final went well too. Unfortunately I have not seen a change in my TF status as of yet. "/ @kv4life , that makes me soo nervous because my interview was Monday and still no TF change

@needtoteach I went to Memphis to interview.
@littleapple89 I did a lot of lurking too and noticed that some people who’s TF status changed to complete was still rejected. It’s so nerve-racking and weird! I’m sure your status will change! Remember, some people’s didn’t change until the night before notification.

I think everybody’s documents get verified at some point, but not everyone goes from “under review” to “complete” in TF. I could be wrong but from what I’ve read, it’s been like that. Thoughts?

So the What’s Next webinar just ended, and it was pretty informative. One thing that was particularly interesting was someone asked if there will be a waitlist for 4DL applicants, and the answer was “unlikely”

I just finished the “What comes after” Webinar … it was a lot of help and resourceful … Also they talked a lot about other possibilities if you don’t get accepted to TFA which make me very nervous about getting accepted. Did anyone join the webinar? whats your thoughts? And @littleapple89 sorry to make you nervous lol I was just saying … I am sure that is not the case lol maybe its by alphabetical orders
Also during the webinar I attended, they said the TF status does not affect your acceptance chance so don’t worry about it

@mossmoss I saw that too and I was a little shocked haha I think only the 5DL gets wait lists because they will hire as many as they need throughout the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th DL. I just hope i get it lol

@mossmoss i asked that question lol

also if anyone is interested in teaching in NYC feel free to ask me your questions… i currently live here and work in a lot of schools

@kv4life I joined the webinar as well. I too am nervous about not getting accepted after listening of course the nerves have been there anyway. I think that all of us just need to be confident in our abilities and that we made it to a final interview at all. She made it clear that if we were invited to a final interview they saw potential in us. I’m just trying to stay positive during this very stressful process. I hope TF status is alphabetical. I guess we’ll soon see. My last name starts with D-- so maybe I’ll see a change soon
