<p>@RGVgirl I absolutely plan to visit Houston one day. I also like to travel. I once met someone who was making their way to to every state by taking a couple trips per year. I would love to do that in addition to traveling out of the country of course. Funny that you mention Whataburgerā¦I totally smiled when I saw that because on one occasion I was in Texas with family & one of the kids wanted to go there but his grandma refused and we went somewhere else haha.</p>
<p>@wallacedew I agree itās absolutely worth it. I would probably gain some weight if I lived there though haha totally obsessed with fresh seafood, beignets and stuffed snoballs! My preferences were Bay Area, Sacramento, New Orleans, Las Vegas and ATL.</p>

<p>@explorer17 I love whataburger lol. A lot of out-of-state students go eat a Whataburger meal once they get back to Texas, me included haha. They actually have a menu item that consists of a burger with jalapenos but you can still add jalapenos to any other burger. I tell people here in Michigan that if they ever find themselves down south and they see a Whataburger they should try it. </p>
<p>@AmbitiousMe a road trip sounds so good, Iām taking a 24 hour road trip back home when the semester ends and it should be fun because Iām going with friends. Iām at the point in the semester that Iām a little homesick and Whataburger reminds me of home since that was the place to go to after a night out lol. I did a study abroad program in Australia last spring semester and it was amazing, I love learning about different cultures and I think traveling out of the country makes you see things in a new perspective :).</p>
<p>I caved and checked my TF status but there is still no change :(ā¦ still under review and no documents verified, itās getting harder to think positive but Iām not losing hope until I get the final decision.</p>

<p>Starting to lose hope. My friend and I are both under review still with no documents verified. I talked to a guy recently who did tfa and he said they are real snobs sometimes when it comes to which school you attended. Not sure if I believe it though. Think they are still verifying documents this late in the game?</p>
<p>@Justteach6, they could be! Last year I believe someoneās status changed to complete around 3 PM.</p>
<p>@Justteach6 I think if you looked at TFA 10 years ago, that would be true. At first, the organization was really focused on recruiting students from the best schools. But I think they realized that wasnāt a good blueprint since many of their corps members left the program prematurely because they couldnāt handle being in hard schools. So TFA changed its strategy and begin focusing on going to different universities to find students who have real experience working with disadvantaged kids. They started heavily recruiting at HBCUās so they could increase their diversity. So I think TFA has lost the āsnobbynessā it once had. When I went to different TFA events,I noticed itās a much more grounded and diverse organization.</p>

<p>volguy got his changed late in the afternoon. With the way things have been this round, I wouldnt be surprised if verification happened at the same time as our decision appears. At this point, its a tossup. It does seem like everyone and their mother are getting āCompleteā this year.</p>

<p>Looks like those who applied for the third deadline are receiving notification of whether or not theyāll have a phone interview. I canāt remember when I received my notification but it seems pretty early, right?</p>

<p>Hey all. Iām taking a break from studying for a bit for my exam tomorrow but as I said wonāt be checking my app till later.
