Aww, my coworkers got me a cookie cake that says Happy/Sad Halloween and next to the words Happy and Sad there are boxes for me to fill in based on what happens.

@stressedgrad8 I also was invited to a phone interview! I’m so nervous. I’m seriously wondering why it is that some people move on directly to the final interview and others do not.

What does everyone think are the distinguishing factors?

@Tinitafish: I LOVE cookie cakes. So for me that would be a Happy Halloween either way :slight_smile: Cross out that sad. Not allowed.

Or just eat it.

Are you guys checking Applicant Center or waiting for an email?

did they say “by 6pm” or “after 6 pm”? i can’t find the doc

@booger: We’ve discussed this some on here, but they ask you to a phone interview if they want some clarification on things that they see in your application. So if you’re invited straight to the final interview, it’s pretty much saying you look like a great fit on paper. But personally, I think those that have a phone interview are lucky. (I had one!) You go into the final interview already having an idea of what they are going to ask about, and you have one more person’s input on your acceptance!

@cheese24 - I believe they said after 6

I also had a phone interview and it was extremely helpful in preparing for my final interview!

@booger I have a feeling they decide based on if they are familiar with the organizations you serve with. TFA has a list of partner programs and organizations it supports, so if you have experience with one of them, they probably feel like they already know enough to put you through. With me, I was expecting to get sent straight through because I’ve worked with and for TFA before.

Just taking a moment to laugh at the fact that I was wondering if we would make it to page 50 by today. We destroyed that.

I will probably keep a note of the questions that they ask and use it to study for my final interview.

LOL @elemteacher…I wondered it too. I think now I’ve made over 100 posts…and all in this one thread!

I need to go out now, but I’ll be back to join the thread party later this evening - hopefully there will be lots of good news!

@stressedgrad8: For my final interview, I was mostly asked to elaborate on things that they had already asked me. There was only one new question. So that’s definitely a good way to prepare. And figure out if there’s anything you left out that you may want to add on!

@elemteacher we demolished that haha

@elemteacher I was wondering that too haha! I remember the activity kicked up when the applicants got close to notification day last year. I guess we’re better?

Or as toots said earlier, we’re just more neurotic. Haha crazies. We’re like 20 pages over where they were when they started getting 1DL/2DL decisions.

I’m gonna go shower to take my mind off of this. Hoping that notification happens while I’m doing so.

Good luck to everyone! You are all lovely people and I’ll know you do great things, whether that’s with TFA or not. I’m hoping for the best for all of you!

**I know you’ll do…

Not so great with the typing right now
