haha yes, I’m checking daily, even in spite of the fact that the office doesn’t even reopen until tomorrow.

We’re so close!!! Yet, it seems like it’s taking forever.

Does anyones TF status NOT say under review?

yeah i definitely keep checking…kind of like checking my facebook…constantly and sometimes without meaning to. i guess i’m just really anxious about jan. 9th!

@spedteacher84 The Baltimore staff has been really good about communicating with me quickly. Even with the holidays they have responded to my emails within a couple of hours.

I agree, the 9th can’t come soon enough. I really want to know what I will be teaching so I can start studying for the tests I will need to take. Being out of school for a few years now, I know I am going to need to refresh my memory regardless of what subject I am assigned and I want to get started!

One week!!

Happy New Year, everyone!!! We don’t have too much longer now!!! :)

lets get this party started! :)

So I’m reading a lot of the earlier posts and a lot of people were saying the “UNSUBMIT” button on their assignment preference form disappeared before notification day. Is this the case for anyone in 3DL. Mine is still there which is making me nervous.

@futureteacher128 I can still unsubmit my form.

does anyone know where to find the podcasts on the admissions blog?

@valways92 and @futureteacher128
I don’t think that’s an indication. I went back and read a few post, then clicked on the user to see whether they were accepted or rejected, and it went either way. They probably just take it away to avoid extra movement on the system or something. I wouldn’t worry, I unsubmitted mine so I could screen shot my preferences for my fianc

@ulanbaatar they are at the end of different posts. After the story concludes there will usually be some stuff in italics and the links are included there. They are very helpful to listen to, but you will have to look for them.

@may0914 thank you soo much, I had been looking for it like craazy. Did anyone ever get their spanish test results?

Never received my Spanish Test results.

does anyone’s TF status say complete? or do we all have it under review? Also, I have heard of them asking for extra documentation based on a few earlier posts such as checkin acct, saving acct etc. I had to go back and forth with them in order to explain my financial situation before getting Yes’s or N/A under the verification column. Has anyone been asked of any of these extra documents??

I received my Spanish test results before Christmas break. They came in an email on Dec. 16; I passed. In the email, they explained there was a glitch that had caused a delay in sending the results. Maybe the same glitch kept you from receiving the email. Try contacting them to find out if you passed. Good luck!

@rhswim9 I just saw your post. Nope. I haven’t gotten asked for any extra documents and my status still says “Under Review: We have not yet reviewed your application or documents.” But, I do have YES next to document(s) verified.

I never received the results of my Spanish test either

@valways92 thank you for the response! mine is the same. im just so anxious to hear back and everything. i think the yes/ n/a verification which i heard can happen all the way until notification day is a good sign. so congratulations to you!

Hey everyone, accepted 1st DL threader here. So just doing some TFA stuff, and not sure if anyone is aware of this study published recently in which TFA’s effectiveness was measured and did very well but I’m reading it and came across something I’m sure everyone will find useful.

I always read on this thread and on past threads “does anyone know how many people actually make it past the application, past the phone interview, past the final interview? etc” Well this study found out, and broke it all down in a paragraph summary and then a graph on page 65. Worth looking at. Pretty much, 50% of applicants are invited to a final interview, and 12% are offered admittance to the corps. You can find the study here: http://ies.ed.gov/ncee/pubs/20134015/pdf/20134015.pdf

Best of luck to you all, I can’t believe 3rd DL is still waiting to hear! 1st and 2nd found out October 31st, over 2 months between the next notification just seems like such a big difference. Anyways, aside from one person in our DL on the thread, I and many others looked meticulously through the last 2 years of threads and it would seem that there was only one occasion (the one in our group this year) where someone was looking at the right TF page, saw “complete”, saw changes, and didn’t get in. If you are asked for further documentation, or if your TF status changes, or if your documents have been reviewed, there is a 99% chance you have been accepted, so take a deep breath.

If anyone has any questions or anything feel free to ask. And relax guys, I know how tense it is, in the 5 days before notification I slowly began losing my mind (and I of course was the one and only person where something was wrong with one of my documents so on notification day I couldn’t be told I was accepted and had to wait an extra day to find out). It will all be over soon!
