@TFA5thDL2015, you can always complete a post-bacc program, but most of those are atleast 18 months.
have you considered subbing?

The Colorado DOE has an interesting alternative certification program that I was heavily considering. I am not sure how TFA weighs that, but I do remember a couple of certified teachers being accepted in to the corps.
@chellepepper: thank you for your response. no, I have not considered subbing but I will definitely definitely look into that! thank you!
There were two certified teachers in my final interview one who was currently teaching actually, but I don’t know if she was accepted or not @TFA5thDL2015
@aprilmatt1113 thank you no one from my interview was, so i became curious how that pans out.
@TFA5thDL2015 I’m a certified teacher and am currently teaching. I was accepted. It was my second time applying.
@wondering47 wow that sounds really re-assuring!! And, congrats! Not getting an offer the first time and conquering the second time is encouraging! Would it be okay if I communicate with you through e-mail? it doesn’t have to be your personal e-mail. I simply would like to know more about your success.
if that’s okay, my email is TFA5thDL2015@ yahoo.com . if not, I can completely understand. thanks again!
@gggggg & @spottydotty - I’m pretty sure we will all be in the same institute (Philadelphia)!..
@gggggg - Will you be bringing your kiddos to institute? So debated as to what to do. … bring them or try to come home on weekends. …
@TFA5thDL2015 absolutely! I’ll email you right now.
@TeachForNC2015 and @spottydotty – awesome!!! How do we get in touch with each other privately/exchange emails, etc.?
No, my kiddos are definitely staying home with their dad. It sounds like it’s going to be super intense over there. I really want to focus on getting the right start and really learn everything I can. If you look at the schedule, it’s incredibly packed. There is like, almost no down time. And I am sure I’ll want to hang out a tad, make new friends
If your kids are really young, I am sure it’s a tough decision.
Oh and @teachForNC2015 I just private messaged you!

I don’t personally know anyone who is on the other side of TFA, so I would really really please appreciate it if any of you 2015 Corps Members would allow me to stay in contact. I plan on applying possibly the same time next year so I can have some time to improve myself the second time around.
I’m very interested to know how summer institute works, how first day of class went, how classroom management is going, and overall TFA experiences. You guys are on the other side now!! wahhhh! i’m so jealous! and i would really reallllllllllly appreciate if I can please have some type of communication with any of you!
