And I won’t be re-applying. Law school is my ultimate goal, so maybe this was a serendipitous rejection considering education wasn’t my long term goal.

I have a question…How does the transitional funding work? How much do they give and what does it help with?
@anabero Transitional funding is money they’ll give/loan to you to help transition you to your new region, should you need it. So they’ll ask for your college FAFSA information and any documentation of particular grants/loans you receive in order to determine how much you’ll need. They give you money based on how much FAFSA/W2 information shows how in need you are of help. You can use it towards anything but on the website they give suggestions, like first/last month rent or security deposit, professional clothing, health insurance, plane/train tickets, etc. On my portal it says they’ll distribute it the first week of Institute.
@anabero to add on, the website claims to give everyone that applies at least $1500, but your total amount will vary. I know I read one time that someone received $5500. It’s broken up into grants and interest free loans. If you quit the program before the 2 years, you are responsible for paying back both amounts in full within 30 days. I think they MAY make an exception in rare cases to set up a payment plan. Everyone is required to pay back the loan amount though (even if you complete the program)- but once again, it is interest free. In my case, my need-based grant was a heftier than my loan and for that I am grateful.
