@hailez Thanks! There were just two questions I don’t feel confident about, and out of an hour long interview, I think that’s not too bad. Especially with a strong group interview. I’m from CT, but I’m living in Phnom Penh now. I moved out here in January. It’s been fun but I really miss America. Are you from Charleston?
Have you read this whole thread? Did you see the talk about page sources? It’s pretty intriguing. Right now I’m seeing FINALEVAL, OPEN, and NULL.
@Nymzie did you check on your applicant profile (not the timeline)? There should be an applicantDispositionStep there. I believe last time people didn’t try checking it until 1-2 days before. It is very possible the status could be updated before then as they load in statuses and set the system to publish results on nov. 28th.
Hey guys, I’ve been lurking on this thread for the past few days worrying about my acceptance. I interviewd on the 15th, and I have to say, thank you so much to whoever discovered the coding thing.
My profile says “applicantDispositionStage”:“APPLICANT”,“applicantDispositionStep”:"ASSIGNMENT
sooooo it looks like I might be joining everyone else in this thread who got their acceptance last month!
Anyone want to teach in Washington state?
Hi y’all, I was looking around on these threads and decided to check about the code thing. Mine says rejected but I thought my entire interview process was practically flawless… did anyone’s exit code say rejected but they were accepted? This is the only thing I had lined up for next year and its going to kill me to not get it… also needing to wait 8 more days just to find out that i’ve been rejected. Just trying to find some hope to get me through the next week!
I got accepted as well! I’m nervous about getting the region I wanted. I didn’t realize WA was one of the areas that had a lot of demand from accepted applicants.
Yeah I noticed Washington was triangled-off so to speak. I’m hoping for Houston, and filled out a special circumstances request. Are you going to have a talk with the regional coach? I’ve studied all of the regions so much I’m not sure if it’s totally necessary. @northwesttfa
Yeah I’m going to talk to mine tomorrow. I didn’t realize that Washington was so desired so I thought putting down my own special circumstances was unnecessary to help my chances of getting a spot there so I want to discuss that with her as well as other possible regions I could look at in case I don’t get the placement I want. I’m also not American so I think having an understanding of the different regions would be helpful as well. Hopefully you get Houston!
For any of the new Corps member who have received their assignments, can you check your code for me? Can you go to the home page of the TFA site (not the applicant center, just teachforamerica.org), and use inspect to search for “region”. Can you tell me what it says next to the very first “region” found in your data Layer? Mine says “National” still, so I’m wondering if that changed for those who are now assigned their region. Thanks! -Anxious TFAer
Hey @txkid32 My region says “national” as well, meaning they probably have not updated it yet. Hopefully we’ll hear tomorrow though. Where are you hoping to go and what are you hoping to teach? This goes out to any new Corps members of course
