Omg good luck to everyone finding out your placements tomorrow! It was one of the most nerve wracking days of my life, but as long as you put a lot of thought into your lists, you should be good! We found out last deadline around 1 CST I believe. The page goes down and there’s an error message while it’s updating, and then 10-15 minutes later it’ll be posted and you have to take a quick survey to see your placement. And don’t be afraid to utilize your region’s resources right away! Even though I was pretty confident in accepting, I still opted to have a phone call with someone from my region who helped answer questions. I can’t wait to hear where you’re all going!
On a different note, I just finished my exams for Illinois Licesure. They were super hard and there wasn’t a ton of study materials and I was not feeling confident, but after spending all day in the test center today, I passed!
Wow, you found out instantly? For the CSET I had to wait a month for the results. Really not looking forward to taking one of those big tests again, but oh well.
@TFASR2018 I got the “preliminary passing status” immediately, but I have to wait a few weeks for the actual score. But even though it was terrifying waiting for the pass report to print, I’m glad it told me right away; I don’t think I could wait that long to know whether or not I passed!
Keep yourself busy until early afternoon tomorrow! Easier said than done, but remember, you’re already in! It can only be good news!

I’ve been quite useless all weekend, too caught up in thinking about the possibilities for next year. I’m so excited to hear the placement, but at the same time I’m terribly nervous. Logically, I know I put a lot of effort into the rankings, and I should be happy no matter what I get, but I think I really talked myself into my top choice while I was making a spreadsheet and organizing everything, haha.
@heartofateacher I think it’s totally fine to be nervous! I also put a ton of effort into my rankings and was happy with all of them, but I really had placed extra excitement on my top choice. I think you’ll find a good community anywhere on your list! What does your list look like?
If anyone gets assigned to Arkansas I’d love to chat! I was accepted at the second deadline, and I’ll be teaching middle school science. I have to take my first teacher certification exam on Tuesday, then my second one the first weekend in March. It’s crazy that y’all are going to find out tomorrow!! So excited for y’all!!
Sending happy thoughts and vibes towards everyone!! Has anyone had special circumstances and requested a region and didn’t get placed in that region? I’m really hoping to be in Philadelphia due to my surgeon being in Pennsylvania but I am anxious that they won’t place me anywhere near there. Anyone else already been through this?
Fingers crossed we all get the region or subject we were hoping for! This morning is dragging on and work has been slow which isn’t helping. Hopefully we’ll know something in the next few hours!
