I applied for this internship, and found out about two weeks ago that I was put on the waitlist for it. The email said that if they would be able to offer me a position, they would inform me in "early April".

Part of the email-

"This has been one of the most diverse and competitive pools of candidates in the history of Teach For America's summer institute. Being placed on the institute waitlist is evidence of the strong positive impression you made throughout our selection process. We ultimately hope to be able to offer you a position, and that you'll still be available if this does happen. Should we be able to offer you a position, we will contact you in early April. While we would like to be able to tell you the exact date by which we will inform you of a position available, we do not yet know the exact date because of multiple factors."

Does anyone know anything about the waitlist situation for this internship, maybe from applying either for this summer or a previous summer? Do you think that I would have heard by now?

I still really want it :(
