<p>in general is it an advantage that the teacher writing the recconmendation is an alumnus of the college. For example, my history teacher went to duke, would his rec carry more clout at duke? I havn't heard anything about this, just kind of a random thought since many of my teacher attended prestigous colleges, some of which i'm interested in.</p>
