<p>Teacher can not log in to do reccommendation</p>
<p>I don't understand, my teacher tried to log into common application yesterday and today during class to do reccommendation and common application will not let her. I have resended the reccomendation forum and that did not work either. I plan on contacting common application as soon as possible but was wondering if anyone could possibly know whats wrong.

<p>When she tries to log in it says wrong password or ID ( think its called ID) or something like that, she tried a few times and it just doesn’t work.</p>
<p>After a certain number of attempts, it’s possible the system locks him/her out. It would be wise for her/you to contact Common App directly.</p>
<p>Our GC had the same problem. She ended up filling out the paper form and sending it in and we are following up with the school(s) to let them know. It was over Christmas break and it was the best solution we could come up with…</p>
<p>my GC had a similar problem too. Apparently the school has to sign a contract or agreement to be able to use common app, but they didnt.
You have to download and print out recommendation forms and just send it in snail maill.</p>

Write your Common App ID number on the form so they can easily match it up with your application.</p>

<p>@wutheringgc: Schools do not need to sign a contract or agreement to use the Online School Forms system. Rather, individual users must simply indicate upon the initial email invitation that they intend to submit forms online.</p>

<p>Oh jeez really, me and my teacher just agreed to do paper forum…this is really confusing, I just don’t understand why she gets error when logging in anyway.</p>
<p>If she is clicking from the Common App’s email link, it won’t work unless she manually copies the full URL into her browser. Not sure if this is the situation though.</p>
<p>Yes she was clicking exactly from the common application link.
Though I would think it would work, if not common application probably would/ have written in the email not to directly click from the link with intentions of logging in or it will fail.
This is horrible, one of my schools deadline was Jan 4th, other 10th… I had a snow day today and was unable to give teacher rec forums in paper.</p>
<p>My d’s GC and teachers didn’t have any problems submitting their recommendations and signature w/the 2 com apps she sent online in Nov (one for ED and the other “early for RD”). My d got her rejection letter from her ED college so she went ahead and submitted her com app for her other college choices (on the same day) during the winter break too. One went through with no problem but the other one said she needed her GC signature since it wasn’t on file. She emailed her GC to let her know she would have to go back on the com app to re-sign. Her GC is talking to the tech because it wouldn’t allow her signature. So, not sure why 3 of the 4 com apps went through okay.</p>

That’s because they intended for it to work. The correct URL is on there, but for some reason they forgot to highlight the last several characters. So it’ll take you to the webpage, but because the full URL isn’t there it won’t log you in. Copying and pasting the full URL from the email, including the unhighlighted part, will take care of this.</p>

Oh jeez, wish I would have known that Jan 5th… this is really horrible for me, I will still try to get my rec sent out even though it will be past both schools deadlines… I don’t know if my application will now even be considered.</p>
