Teacher Cornell Alum

I have a teacher who's alma mater is Cornell. He was my primary recomendation and mentioned something about how he could imagine me being in Ithaca and how he knew that I would bring much to the community and so forth. How much emphasis do you think that they put on recomendations? Does it help that my teacher went to Cornell?

Really, I'm not sure. I'm not sure it'll make/break your decision, but hey, it can't hurt, unless that's all he talks about instead of say heaping loads of praise on you...

That's a good thing. Recommendations are important, but don't make up for low quantitative statistics.

yeah, one of my recommendations was a teacher who was a Cornell alumna
