I am applying to 2 colleges through the common app. For teacher evaluations, can I just have my teachers fill out one and make a copy of it? Instead of making them fill out 2?

You should go to your common app account and invite your teachers online by adding their emails and names. Then they will get an email from the common app folks and they can each decide whether to submit their recs by email or regular mail. It’s fine to submit a copy rather than an original rec by mail. Be sure to use the common app form.

Yes, it’s fine to make a copy if you are mailing it. I think the teacher has to sign both though.

Also, when I printed out any common app form, half of the title that says “COMMON APPLICATION…” gets cut off. Is that fine?

I was actually wondering about this too. One of my teacher wrote me a recomendation in the summer and he is not a school teacher but a tutor. I listed him down and it says “Not started”. I was wondering if i have to wait for him to respond? Or can i just mail the rec letter he gave me? Same goes for my teacher at school. I added her down too and it still says “Not started” and she told me she will make me a hard copy to send through the mail? Do i have to wait for them to start on it or something? Can anyone clarify this? Thanks.

Bump…
