I'm going for scholarship here. I will definitely complete my online app by Dec 1st so that's no problem, but would it be okay if he posted it after Dec 1st? I'm sending the supplementary materials like teacher recs, transcripts and sat score reports as well as my financial statement form by mail.

It's the school holidays so he's constantly not in office and I haven't been able to catch him and pass the materials to him. :/ Should I just send all my transcripts etc. first, and then post out his teacher rec separately? Would it still be okay even if the postmark is after Dec 1st, as long as my main application is in?

I don’t know about your high school but for DD’s high school, her transcript is mailed directly from the school to USC. So request your transcript to mail to USC ASAP.

The answer is: get your stuff in. Have your teacher/counselor get your stuff in. One of my kids’ counselor didn’t bother to send in the rec (too busy with his own life). She had to appeal. Be coutesy, be persistent, be firm…have your parents call. You are competing in a huge pool of highly qualified candidates. Why put yourself at a disadvantage?
