<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>I saw on my teacher recs that it allows you to waive your rights to seeing the teacher recommendation letters. I really don't want to since I kind of want to see what they write, even tho I know it wont have any effect whatsoever. But will it look bad if i refuse to give the letters confidentiality? It says that it will not hurt my chances of admission on some of them, but I don't know know if it could help if i waived my rights. What do you think?</p>

<p>It does hurt your recommendation if you do not sign it. You should be confident enough that the teacher will write a good rec that you don't need to confirm it. Not signing it would reveal insecurity.</p>
