just a quick question. the brown teacher rec forms don’t specify whether only academic teachers should fill them out. What did you guys do? Do you have to get academic teachers or non-academic ones are fine too? Thanks

def. academic teachers.

academic. if you want your coach or some non-academic teachers to write a recommandation for you, send them as supplements.

hey thanks. As I'm applying as a music major, wouldn't it make sense for me to have a rec letter from my music teacher? just a thought. Also, just curious, how important are SAT 2s to brown? i.e can good SAT 1 scores compensate for average (740 physics, 770 math 1, 730 chem) SAT 2 marks?

Your SAT IIs are very good. Don't worry you don't need all 800s.

Unless your music teacher has a seriously super-amazing rec letter , I personally suggest you use it as a supplemental rec. And your SAT II scores are good, especially because of the subjects you took.

great thank u. I'll trust that the scores are good, considering for a 730 in chem is only 78th percentile
