<p>So today my Penn Portal finally said that I had a recommendation in... but of course there were two problems with this. First of all, it only said that I had ONE in. Second of all, it said that the teacher who wrote the letter was a teacher that I had not even designated to write my letter of recommendation for Penn. I had asked this teacher in the summer to write me a letter but never asked him to send it anywhere or do anything with it, but I'm worried he could have given it to my counselor or something and there could have been some confusion...</p>
<p>Penn called my counselor and told her to fax over my two recommendations, so she called me down to her office, got the names of the two teachers I wanted the letters of (and neither was this guy), and said that she would fax them over ASAP. She confirmed that she did a few days ago, and now here's the Penn Portal telling me that they have ONE recommendation, but it's from a teacher I didn't even want to send a rec letter to Penn! </p>
<p>I also called, and they told me that they had received two letters of recommendation... not sure what must have happened. </p>
<p>So is there a way that the Portal could have somehow marked his name in where the other teacher's name should have been? I didn't even give the guy a Common Application teacher form, let alone tell him where I was applying.</p>
<p>wow that's weird. your counselor must have done something wrong there. but pennportal is not that reliable..and causes lots of stress. My extra rec is under counselor's recommendation so now i have two counselor's recommendations. if they have two letters then they must do, and did you ask which two? also, they can tell you what they have now? i remember a few weeks ago that they told me to check mypenn.</p>

<p>Oh and now I have another Counselor Recommendation... so that might be one of the other teacher rec's too. Sooo stressful with this MyPenn crap. </p>
<p>So Millhouse your rec was logged under the wrong teacher's name too? But was the teacher it named someone that was writing a rec for you at all or just a teacher of yours?</p>

<p>Oh wow... that's interesting. Have you called them about it or anything? The same thing basically happened to me. Today though, the Portal received another one of my rec's and this time it was actually from a teacher who had written one... so I'm hoping everything is going to fix itself.</p>
<p>Agh. Penn finally received my second teacher rec a few days ago, but the teacher's name is blank. Agh!! I don't know if I should call them and confirm that it is the correct teacher or if I should just wait it out.. x__x</p>
