Teacher Rec Question

Eghh. So one of my recommenders apparently has something against doing recommendations through the Common App website. So she just gave me my letter recommendation (like she couldn't have told me she wasn't going to do it online when I asked her if it was alright if I signed her up through the internet). She never checked off that she would be an online provider.

In addition to the letter, should I get her to change her status so I could immediately give her the rest of the teacher evaluation forms? All I have is her letter in my possession. And now it's late ._.

Sigh.

do you already have 2 teacher recs, besides her? because then a 3rd doesnt really matter

no, she’s my second rec

just send it in as soon as possible. as long as you got in your commonapp, the supplement, and the 70 bucks in by the deadline, you should be okay. even if you forget to send in your teacher recommendations or if they forget themselves, cornell will contact you in a few weeks to request the missing materials.

yeah i know. I’m just going to have to wait so she could do the actual teacher evaluation forms since all she did was give me the actual LOR. But I haven’t seen the teacher forms to see if I could just send the letter in lieu of the forms or something

wow that sucks, why can’t you just get her to attach it to commonapp, the process takes honestly 2 minutes.

it does. she just doesn’t like submitting recs online, apparently. she won’t do it. egh wt* she could’ve told me. I gave her about a month to do it.

Teachers get a grace period to send in recs, from what my teachers told me. I wouldn’t sweat it too much, as long as they receive the recs.

Thanks for the info :)
