Well its that time of year to give teachers those recommendation forms. I was thinking though since the teachers I have selected are my junior year teachers from first term if it would be appropriate to give a suggestion sheet of things they could write about. For example I would say always did homework, participated in class, took initiative in asking for work for field trip, etc. etc. Do you think this would look rude or that the teacher would be offended by this or do you think its a good idea?

hmmm. I have a slightly different opinion on this one...

After you politely ask the teachers to write your rec and they accept, ask them if they want you to supply them with a short list of activities and ideas to help them out. If they say yes, then i'd type up a short list of ec's and at the bottom write that stuff that you were saying.

Of course, i'm also a rising senior, so i'm obviously not an expert and this is just my opinion! The two teachers that I am asking are very very good friends of mine, as in i talk to them a lot outside of class, and i just feel like it would be rude to just shove a list at them. I trust their judgement, and i hope they come through for me! But if your teachers don't know you as well, it sounds like giving them a list would be a pretty good idea.
