Teacher Rec

Does UVA provide a separate form for teacher recommendations?

Recommendations:

You must submit a recommendation
from your school; usually a guidance
counselor writes this recommendation
and includes it with the School and
Transcript Report (Part 3).We do not
provide a separate recommendation
form.

We also encourage you to submit
an additional recommendation.
Recommendations must be submitted
either with the School and Transcript
Report or with the Supplement for
First-Year Applicants.We cannot
guarantee that recommendations submitted
in another manner will be filed
before we evaluate your application.

they also have a method for sending recommendations electronically (via email) which is on the application online but ill prob just send them

I suppose if its too late to include written recommendations with the school and transcript report (I'm pretty sure my school has already mailed it) we should just send recommendations directly to the admissions office and hope it makes it into our file?

My counselor and all the teachers I've asked to write recs have assured me that there will be no problem if they mail their recs in separately, so long as they include the proper information (i.e. SSN #) to be matched with you file.

I assume UVa simply wants to encourage students to send everything at once, to make things easier for them and us.
