Teacher Rec

Okay..
I have three teachers I am going to get recommendations from. One of them, I am definitely going to use because he has Ph D and I did really well in his class. On the other hand, I have problem with the other two.

One of them is going to write a very good recommendation but he is not going to mark all the exceptionals on the "check box" because he is a extremely modest guy. Probably 1~2 exceptionals and rest will be ones below exceptional.
The other one is going to write a standard recommendation but lots of exceptionals on the box. She just basically looks at the grades and decide.

Which one would you recommend me to use?

bump bump bump

Depends on which box is marked exceptional... See how the teacher marked "overall" part...

If I were you, I would submit a very good recomendation although not very many boxes are marked exceptional

I agree with spark, go with the one that would write a good recommendation. Colleges know different teachers have different standards when checking boxes, but a good rec speaks for itself.

I would definitely choose the first guy... from what I've gathered, the admissions officers care much more about what the teacher has to say about the student, rather than a set of boxes. Some colleges accept a letter without the form, even.

I'd go with #1 and #2. Lose the third.

Wow, Thanks for the advices
I guess I should definitely go with the 1st and 2nd..
