Teacher Recomendations

I already submitted my ED application, so I'm starting on RD applications so I have a back-up plan. I have two questions about teacher recommendations:

(this one is probobly ridiculous) For the Common Applications, do the teachers just write one recommendation and then photocopy it?

Is it okay if colleges receive my letters of recommendation before my application, since I want to wait till after I find out about my ED before I submit my applications (and pay the fees).

Yes, it's fine if the colleges receive your letters of recommendation before the rest of your application; they'll create a temporary file for you until the application comes in.

Most teachers will write one recommendation and photocopy it for each school (changing the name of the school in the salutation). I would assume the Common Application works in the same way (I'm not familiar with how the Common Application works though.)

I like your user name...it's clever...Importance of Being Earnest.

That was intended for Bunbury...:)
