Teacher Recommendation letters

I have two teachers I want to ask letters of recommendation from next year.

1)Math teacher I’ve known for two years.
2)English teacher from junior year.

But the problem is, I’ve never built a special relationship between my English teacher.
I participated in the class but I never talked with him outside of class. In fact, I don’t think I talked with him that much in class either, I just answered questions in class.

Is it a bad idea to ask a teacher rec from a teacher you’ve not talked to that much but you performed well in the class +participated?

Is it “bad”? Depends if there’s someone else that you feel you can swap out. Sometimes, you gotta use what you have. Here’s the plus side – few schools require 2 rec letters.

Nothing wrong with that at all.
