So I got the horrible e-mail that Yale has not received one of my recommendation letters. I suppose that's my fault for asking my 90 year old teacher to do it. I'm really anxious and I have no means of contacting the teacher while I'm on Thanksgiving break. Can I fax her letter to them myself, or would that be breaking some major rule? I have a copy of her letter, signed and everything. I'm tempted. Input?

Fax it.
I did it.

Yes, I would fax it as soon as possible.

Wait? The deadline for letters isn’t until January 1st right?

Or am I mistaken? Otherwise, what’s the huge rush? You can always talk to her after break. Right?

^ OP probably applied EA so deadline would be Nov 1

i dont see how they would know that you were faxing it instead of the teacher.
so i say go ahead, fax it :)
